The Glendower Hotel, Goodwick
Situated in the picturesque village of Goodwick, within easy walking distance of Fishguard Harbour, the Glendower Hotel is a friendly family run hotel with a traditional bar and a genuine local atmosphere.
The rugged North Pembrokehsire coastline offers an abundance of sandy beaches nestling in the coves along Britain's only coastal National Park. There is plenty to do whether you are a keen fisherman, golfer or bird watcher. For younger guests, apart from all the sandy beaches, there is a theme park at Oakwood, Folly Farm and Bluestone National Park Resort to name but a few local attractions easily accessable by car.
For walkers and ramblers there are many walks including the coastal path and the Preseli Mountains famous as the source of the Blue Stones in Stonehenge.
Fishguard has an intersting local history as the site of the last invasion of Britain in 1797 and you can see the commerative tapestry in Fishguard library. Nearby St Davids is Britains smallest City where you can visit the Cathedral and Bishop's palace.
Fishguard Harbour itself was once a port of call for transatlantic liners such at the RMS Mauretania and is now a principle port for ferry passengers to Ireland.
For music lovers there are the Fishguard Folk Festival in June and the Aberjazz - jazz and blues festival in August; joint winners of the Radio Pembrokeshire best festival award. At the end of July there is also the famous Fishguard Music Festival.
